We often hear how Omega-3 fatty acids, which can be found in fish oil, are beneficial to our health. They can boost brain development and heart health, in addition to reducing blood pressure and regulating clotting.

Now there is even more reason for expecting moms to up their intake of fish oil and Omega 3s.  A study, published in The Journal  of Lipid Research in Australia, reported that fish oil can reduce placental inflammation, which can occur in many dangerous pregnancy conditions such as preeclampsia and gestational diabetes.

Adding Omega 3s to your diet is an easy way to a healthier pregnancy. It can be found in fish like salmon, trout, and tuna or it can be found in leafy green veggies, flax, and walnuts! If none of those options strike your fancy, you could always get a good quality Omega 3 supplement.
