Annapolis, Maryland now has its very own Placenta Encapsulation Specialist! PBi would like to welcome Laura McDonald and congratulate her on completion of her training on PBi’s Method of Placenta Encapsulation!

Scott, Laura’s husband was actually the one who sparked Laura’s interest in Placenta Encapsulation. Pregnant with their first child, in the Summer of 2009, Scott started doing research and encouraged Laura to pursue placenta encapsulation due to the enormous natural health benefits. Laura agreed and as she watched her PBi Specialist prepare her capsules, Laura watched in amazement. It was then that she fell head over heels for the science behind placentophagy, leading her on her quest to become trained to encapsulate placentas for other women.

“Quite honestly, when my husband suggested we look into encapsulating our placenta, I have to admit I was a little hesitant due to the ‘ewww’ factor.  I thought this would entail raw consumption, and in my difficult pregnancy, I was not really for trying something so unique.  After giving birth and succumbing to my husband’s persistence, we enlisted the services of our local PE Specialist and we could not be more ecstatic with the results!” – Laura McDonald

Laura has her B.A. in Communication Studies and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership.  She is a military officer and combat war veteran; she can handle a lot of really hard things. What she did not anticipate was that her pregnancy would be so difficult–physically, mentally, and emotionally.
