PBi is proud to announce that Kathy Reid serving the Salt Lake City, UT area is the latest PBi Placenta Encapsulation Specialist to earn her Certification!

Certification takes commitment and hard work. To become Certified, a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist must have completed scientific research and written response papers, acquired experience in placenta encapsulation services by preparing two placentas using PBi’s Method of Placenta Encapsulation, and completed additional food preparation safety certification to be in compliance with their state’s stringent health department protocols.

Kathy is a student midwife with Ancient Art Midwifery Institute (AAMI) and “fell in love with placentas” last year during her apprenticeship.

“I find that working with a mother’s and baby’s placenta is such a sacred honor. I enjoy learning about the mother long before her birth and especially love when I have an opportunity to connect with both she and the baby through my other prenatal services. It is a very sacred and powerful experience to hold what once was the shared life gateway between mother and child. I make it my utmost duty to hold, protect, and aid in the transformation of the placenta into capsules that will continue to breath life, energy, and love back to the mother.”
