I am very pleased to report that the placenta research out of UNLV (University of NV, Las Vegas) is currently under way! Research on placenta is incredibly timely and necessary.
For this particular research study, we are analyzing fresh placental tissue for a variety of hormones, vitamins and minerals that are purported to be contained within the placenta. We are then doing my process of placental preparation and analyzing the prepared placenta for the same contents.
This is important research for me personally, because I am preparing the placental tissue in the exact same way that I prepare it for my clients, and train all of PBi’s Placenta Encapsulation Specialists to use.
Through this research we will be able to tell what exactly the placenta contains, in what quantities. We will also be able to tell what changes after doing my method of preparation on it.
A frequent argument I hear against placenta encapsulation is that even if the placenta contains what we say it contains, we are ruining all of the efficacy by preparing it for ingestion by women in the manner we use. With this research, we will have actual data to share.
This is just the beginning of our research endeavors, and it has taken us a long time to get to this point. I am very excited to be at the forefront of the research, and look forward to sharing our results!
