The Placenta Blog

Patricia Couch, a midwife at the Bella Vie Gentle Birth Center in Salem, OR, is gathering donations for supplies and will be going down to Haiti on February 19 with the organization Midwives for Haiti to help pregnant women devastated by the earthquake. If you would like to support her efforts, please call Bella Vie at 503.315.2229, or send PayPal donations to her at pcmidwife@gmail.com.

Desiree LeFave is a midwife at the birth center, and helped me during the birth of my first daughter, Rhiannon. Patricia is a passionate placenta advocate, and a friend and colleague. If these women say that they’re going to help women in Haiti, you can rest assured that it will get done.

Besides donating my own money to Haiti, I will continue to pray for them. Lifting everything up to Heaven for them.
