I want to share another email I received, this time from a client of Corinne Hilton, a PBi Placenta Encapsulation Specialist in Washington, D.C.
Alison wrote in to let me know she had posted a review of her experience with Placenta Benefits and placenta encapsulation on her blog, Hello Baby. When I went to check it out, not only had Alison written a very in-depth and thorough review of her experience, but she had also featured several links about PBi and placenta encapsulation prominently on her blog.
Here is an excerpt from her review:
…
So all in all, I am really happy I decided to do this. It wasn’t gross, unhealthy, unsanitary. It seems to have helped my relationship with my baby, and the health of me and her (considering she never wanted for milk). I highly recommend this to any pregnant woman. It may sound disgusting or cannibalistic, but it’s not. As a vegetarian, I didn’t see anything wrong with consuming my placenta - gosh I chew my fingernails and if I cut myself the first thing I do is take my finger to my mouth to stop the bleeding. This is something my body created to nourish my child while in the womb, something so full of nutrients. It seems like such a waste to throw it away, especially if it has even the slightest chance to help with post partum issues.
As a token of my appreciation, I’m sending Alison the much-anticipated and highly coveted I (heart) Placentas! onesie for little Emerson. Wear it proudly, baby!
Thanks Alison, for helping to promote placenta and its use in postpartum recovery!
