My uncle Mark passed away yesterday. He fought a brief but strong battle against cancer, after getting the diagnosis of lymphoma in February. He was incredibly strong and healthy, but the cancer was cunning, hiding itself until it was already very well established throughout his system. He leaves behind my fabulous aunt Roz, and their son and daughter. Theirs was a wonderful example of what a marriage could be, and what parenting ought to be.

I’ll be staying in MN for the next few weeks. Both my husband and myself are from MN, and have lots of extended family here. I just really feel the need to be here, ground, and reconnect.
