The situation with vaccinations in New Jersey continues. Apparently the state now wants to mandate flu vaccinations for every child entering school - including pre-school. I take issue with the government forcing parents to inject their children with toxins including aluminum and mercury, or even the FluMist version that can increase upper respiratory issues in young children. Then consider the fact that the flu vaccine made each year is basically scientists’ “best guess” at which flu virus may hit the majority of the population and it becomes a real question of what truly is best for our health. Instead of pushing a vaccine that enriches a few corporations every year, why not emphasize adequate nutrition? If our government truly cares about the health of its population and still feels the need to force parents to minimize the risk of spreading the flu, why not control the food that goes into their children’s mouths, and ban McDonald’s for at least the winter months until we are past the cold and flu season? Oh, right, that would be an intrusion into our private lives. What an outrage.

After publishing this, I noticed the Google ads were for flu vaccines. Obviously, not a personal endorsement.

Most parents want what is best for their kids, but there are sooo many different options out there. I try not to make my decisions based on fear but on the belief that things go well 99% of the time. My husband and I have chosen not to vaccinate our kids because it goes against all our instincts to inject toxins into their blood stream, no matter how safe they say the level is. As parents we try to protect our kids from potential harm but to knowingly inject them with polutants, that is unfathomable.

Thanks for your comment Lisa. It is all a benefit/risk ratio for getting the vaccinations, and right now the risks outweigh the benefits. I make sure my family eats healthy foods to keep their immune system up, and supplement with herbs to further boost their immunity. When we do feel a cold coming on, we increase our supplement intake for 24 hours, we get extra rest, and we rarely come down with anything. If our society was healthier, we wouldn’t have to worry so much about flu outbreaks - which were mostly controlled in the 50’s, before they even introduced the flu vaccine.
